Some digital IR

Have just received my modified 20D back from ACS and have been taking a few shots. First was taken last night and had me scratching my head.
1/2 sec @ f11, ISO 400, 56mm, Canon 20D-IR
Concern was increased when I pointed the camera directly at the ceiling lights only to find out the result was total blackness. I convinced myself that it was the IR filter excluding the frequencies of the tungsten light, especially a energy saver! Not even sure why the cat showed up at all. Better wait until the morning.
Morning came all wet and cloudy, but I was not to be denied!

1/15 sec @ f8, ISO 400, 17mm, Canon 20D-IR
Better. The image that comes out of the camera has a strong magenta cast, which I manage into an acceptable level by setting a very cool white balance, before dropping into grayscale. EV compensation in LR was quite a strong plus (usually of around +2), so I am looking to set an EV compensation in camera of +1 and 1/3 in future. Images also benefitted from a strong contrast boost, and I found myself liking a softer image which I achieved by setting a neg Clarity in LR.

Some more examples:
1/20 sec @ f8, ISO 400, 33mm, Canon 20D-IR
1/2 sec @ f8, ISO 400, 41mm, Canon 20D-IR
So cat's eyes go black . . .
Camera will need to be tripod mounted as everything is much slower. Might be interesting to practice some colourisation techniques on these shots as well.
