A couple of shots from a misty morning in the local wood.
1/25 sec @f11, ISO 100, 38mm (zoom), Canon 5D, tripodA rather heavy fog in the morning and I looked all over for a lone tree. This does ok I think, plus a little bit of vignetting as well helps.

Converted to B&W in Lightroom and toned in PSCS3. This is my attempt at a Renger-Patzsch wood, though it is difficult to get the toning right. I also note that the original was sharp all the way through and masses of detail. Presumably something to do with the large format camera he must have been using. The upshot is that the master remains unchallenged!

I like this photo, the foreground tree is nicely defined. I like the way that it presses on the large tree on the left, establishing a sort of visual tension in the shot. Converted to B&W in LR and toned in PSCS3.
