Heathrow Terminal 5. Contrary to popular opinion the journey through the terminal is quite smooth, though it is not operating anywhere near full capacity at the moment. I like this shot, lots of people doing different things but managing to look alike in so many ways. Must be the influence of the place.

This was inside the Postfuhramt; I liked the look of the stairwell and then waited for someone to wander into shot. The Postfuhramt used to be the transport office of the post office in Berlin and is now converted to an exhibition centre, mainly for photography I think. I went to see an exhibition of photographs by award winners of a prize from the Deutsche Borse. The photographers on show were Esko Mannikko (from Finland), John Davis (UK), Jacob Holdt (Danish) and Fazal Sheikh (USA). More on this at Deutsche Borse Photography Prize . Esko Mannikko was showing a rather eclectic mix of images from three or four previous books/projects, so they did not hang together too well in my opinion. John Davis had a rather traditional, slightly stiff, approach to documenting marginal British urban landscapes. Jacob Holdt also had a slightly random feel to his exhibits, but they came from a five year period hitching around the US it seems, so not too surprising. Fazal Shiekh was very effective I thought, documenting the plight of Indian women through photos and personal testimony.1/125 sec @ f4, ISO 200, 5.8mm, Canon A710 IS
A coffee stop at the Hakesche Hof. Coffee cup might have looked better full! Could also get rid of the white plastic bag on the upper left.

Dropped into a bar where you could watch the preparation of food in the Sushi bar in the back of the establishment. I became a bit fascinated. Not sure why the lines on the tv screen are semi-circular.
